Mitchell & Morgan | Harper Hill Plantation, Georgia

September 28, 2018

There are some love stories in life that are better than fairy tales – which is how we would describe Mitchell & Morgan’s wedding day.  From beginning to end, it was a perfect day.

Let’s start with the venue – OMG.  Harper Hill Plantation is GORGEOUS.  Lots of whites, grays, and big southern trees – we were in photographer heaven.  Their property is surrounded by big, open fields, a pond, and a dirt road.  We took full advantage of the beautiful landscape that surrounded the property.  The inside is just as gorgeous as the outside.  What was so special is that a family friend built the beautiful ceremony arbor.  All the heart eyes!

While everyone was getting ready, an afternoon storm blew through.  We all were starting to panic and were frantically checking our weather apps!  Thankfully, it didn’t last long and the rest of the day was full of beautiful sunshine!

Morgan had SO many beautiful details.  We loved her use of color and how all the details tied together!  And her dress …….  AMAZING.  We couldn’t get enough!

We loved spending time in the bridal suite with Morgan and all the bridesmaids.  They were such a fun group and so supportive of Morgan and Mitchell!

We loved getting to see Mitchell and Morgan’s reactions to the letters they wrote one another.  Both were tearful and emotional as they read the letters.  There is something special about a handwritten love letter.

Full of emotion, the beautiful bride and groom got ready for their first look.  And it was a first look we will never forget!

Morgan had a first look with her dad which was the SWEETEST before she went out to see Mitchell.

After we gave them a moment to just enjoy the moment together, we grabbed the bride and groom portraits.  They are STUNNING!

The bridal party met us for a few formal pictures before the ceremony.  We loved the dress colors, the flowers, and the groomsmen’s socks.

CUTEST FLOWERGIRL EVER!!!

The guests started arriving and we took a few minutes to capture all the reception and ceremony details of the day.  So many gold accents and the succulents….give us all the succulents!

The ceremony was the perfect depiction of the couple’s love, passion for each other for the Lord.  Not pictured – us shedding several tears behind the lens during their vows!

Right after the ceremony, we grabbed some family formals and full bridal party shots followed by our favorite: bride and groom sunset portraits!  As soon as portraits were over, we all enjoyed a delicious dinner and dancing at the reception.

Grab your tissues!  Mitchell’s mother passed away when he was young boy and instead of the traditional father/daughter dance and mother/son dance, this sweet couple decided to honor his mother and all the women that mothered him throughout his life.  He passed out roses to the influential women in his life and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

We always love a good bouquet and garter toss which lived the party up!

We loved their take on a sparkler exit!  They just had everyone turn their flashlights on it was so cute!

Mitchell & Morgan – we are beyond honored to be a part of your day.  We have grown to love you not only as clients, but as friends.  You both are precious.  May your love continue to grow with each passing year.  We are here cheering you on as you journey through this beautiful life together.
