After what felt like a million days of rain, we were so excited to wake up to a beautiful sunny day for Miles and Tia’s wedding. The weather could not have been more perfect. It was sunny with a light breeze, perfect for saying “I do”. We travelled to historic Monroe, Georgia. It has the cutest downtown, and right in the middle is The Cotton Warehouse. It is an industrial style venue with vintage wood floors, exposed brick, and lots of beams.
Tia grew up in Italy for a large portion of her life, so her theme was ivory and gold with olive branches and lots of greenery. All of her place cards were on corks, which fit right in to the Italian theme because of their love for fine wine (which there was plenty of!).
When we arrived, Tia was reading the sweetest letter that Miles wrote her. She and her bridesmaids were excited about the big day and there were plenty of laughs to go around. We snapped some pictures of them in their gold robes, dried off the bouquets, and took some pictures of their dresses and the details of the day. We loved the full sequin bridesmaid gowns from Lulu’s! Tia’s dress was gorgeous, and she was even more beautiful. With a crown of olive branches, she was a stunning bride. Glowing all day from head to toe.
When Miles arrived, he was given Tia’s letter, and it was such an honor to be a part of the moment where his eyes would just light up at each word. Everyone continued to get ready and there was such an excitement in the atmosphere.
The bridal party was definitely a fun group. They laughed and cut up with each other throughout the entire day. From what we could tell, they loved Miles and Tia and will be there for them through thick and thin.
When we met with Miles and Tia, they did not want a first look. Tia’s words were “I want him to cry when I’m coming down the aisle!” And, boy, did she get her wish. Miles reaction to his bride was the SWEETEST. We may or may not have shed a few tears with him!
The rest of the day flew by! We stole Miles and Tia away to snap a few pictures of them in a nearby field and run down factory. It’s definitely a photographers dream to have an open field, rusty factory, and abandoned train tracks!
At the reception, one of our favorite parts is of course the delicious food! With an Italian theme, there was delicious pasta, salad, and so much more. The toasts were full of emotion as their friends and family celebrated the bride and groom. And can we just talk about the cake!? It was gorgeous! Everyone’s favorite dessert was definitely the Krispy Kreme donuts. Those went fast and we may have had one, or two, or maybe three ourselves.
The wedding guests enjoyed dancing and fellowship with each other. When it was time for them to leave, they had a sparkler send off and it was truly magical! Here’s to a wonderful life together Miles and Tia! The best is yet to come!
