May in Georgia is generally very warm, but we were not expecting record heat on Josh & Jennifer’s wedding day. Temperatures were 95 and rising, I was 4 months pregnant, and let’s just say that made for an interesting day. The plus side was that the sun was shining, love was in the air, and two of our favorite people were about to tie the knot.
When we arrived at DoeLee Pecan Grove, we fell in love the white farmhouse that you first see when you drive on the property. It’s nestled right in the middle of a pecan grove. There was an old barn, picturesque pavilion, and so many different quaint details. We hurried into the house to see our bride and bridesmaids getting ready. All of the girls were laughing and having a great time. We knew it would be a great day. Jennifer chose a pastel blue for her wedding color with accents of cream and pink. The bridesmaids all had different dresses in that same color tone and we loved the variety.
We absolutely love details and we really loved that Jennifer created almost ALL of her wedding details. She designed her invitations, her ceremony decor, and so much of her reception decor. She has a gift with hand-lettering and though a lot of things were DIY, you would never be able to tell! The ceremony and reception were full of life and love! Josh & Jennifer – Thank you for the honor of capturing your beautiful day. We would suffer the heat for you anytime and wish you a life of love and happiness as you venture through marriage.
