A Timeless Hewitt Oaks Wedding | Anna Kate & Clay

Clay and Anna Kate had a timeless wedding at Hewitt Oaks in Bluffton, South Carolina.  Surrounded by beautiful oak trees covered in Spanish moss, these two declared their perfect love for one another.  They met by happenstance due to the pandemic.  Anna Kate moved back to Georgia from New York City and met Clay.  After dating, and catching Covid together, he proposed and she, of course, said yes!  They certainly found a silver lining in the midst of this world wide pandemic.

When Anna Kate reached out to us, we knew we were a perfect match.  She wanted a timeless and authentic look for her photos while still having all the blissful, candid moments from the day captured.  We loved her vision of black and white with simple greenery.  It allowed the beauty of the venue and the two of them to really shine.  Hewitt Oaks has a variety of oak trees and they said their vows by the Promise Tree.  So fitting for the lifelong commitment they made together.  After the ceremony, the sunset was divine.  We used every bit of the beautiful golden light for their portraits.

The reception sight was recently transformed from a horse barn into Huling Chapel.  It is an all white room for intimate events.  Together, with their closest family and friends, Anna Kate and Clay danced the night away.  She designed a gorgeous champagne wall with a custom neon sign of their new last name.  And we adored one single banquet table where everyone shared a meal together.  After their sparkler send off we thought the night was over, BUT as Joe and I were trying to grab late night appetizers at the only place open in Hilton Head, the entire wedding party showed up and the party continued! 🙂 We loved getting to hang out off the clock and celebrate the happy couple even more!
