A Summer Wedding at Nubbintown Farms | Edison, Georgia

June 23, 2020

Mallory and Joel are one of our many couples affected by the global pandemic.  Their original wedding date was in May, so instead of a spring wedding, they were able to reschedule to have a summer wedding at Nubbintown Farms.  This venue is absolutely beautiful and nestled on several acres of South Georgia land.  It is full of charm and sets a beautiful backdrop for a wedding.  We’ve known these two since they were in middle and high school, so we were thrilled to get to shoot their big day!

We began our day at the bridal suite.  Mallory and her bridesmaids were getting ready and a buzz for all the excitement the day held.  Joel was getting ready next door at a house on the property which is where the entire bridal party was able to stay the night before.  Everything is full of rustic charm, pine floors, and southern decor.  Mallory wanted a first look with her bridesmaids.  We love when our brides let their girls be surprised to see them.  They always have the best reactions.  While their reaction was full of squeals and excitement, the first look between Mallory and her father is the one that had us shedding a few tears behind the lens.  He couldn’t enter the room at first because he was so overwhelmed with happy tears.  And of course, lots of tears were shed when he saw his daughter for the first time.

After seeing her dad, we quickly moved to the first look location so Joel could see his bride.  Thankfully, we had some cloud cover and wind because it was a super toasty day!  We were able to grab bride and groom portraits after the first look as well as pictures with the bridal party.  They were a fun group with lots of laughs, which I’m sure you will be able to tell.  Joel and Mallory have tons of support and we love to see that!

The ceremony site is a little bit of a drive through the corn fields, and when we saw it for the first time we had all the heart eyes!  Because it was so hot, Mallory and Joel provided all of their guests with iced bottled water and fans (which helped get rid of the gnats and the heat).  It was a tearful walk down the aisle for Mallory and her dad.  Joel was eagerly waiting and the whole ceremony was beautiful from start to finish.  After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed tacos and the cutest drinks.  We were able to steal Joel and Mallory away for sunset portraits in the flower field after their cake cutting and our photographer hearts were exploding!  These are some of most favorite sunset pics to date!

After we finished pictures, we headed to the reception and dance floor was full all night.  As the reception was winding down, we finished the night with a fireworks show and a sparkler exit!  Mallory and Joel – thank you for allowing us to be with you and capture your day!  It’s been amazing to watch you grow up and we can’t wait to see all that marriage brings you both!
