A Joyous Wheeler House Wedding

Lexi & Corey should be described as two of the most kind, caring and loving couples. Their joyous wedding at the Wheeler House was straight out of a fairytale and to say that these two were excited about being married would be the understatement of the century. These two are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Lexi started the day surrounded by her best friends getting hair and make up done. They had the prettiest matching pajamas. We loved taking them out onto the stunning, white porches of the Wheeler House. Lexi’s mother and grandmother helped get her into her dress and were all smiles.

One of our most favorite details and moments of the day was Lexi’s first look with her grandfather. They have such a kindred relationship and it was so special to see his reaction to her in her dress. We also loved the fun facts that both Lexi’s grandparents and parents were high school sweethearts. She had charms on her bouquet that showcased each of them on their wedding day so that she could carry their legacy with her as she walked down the aisle. **cue the tears**

Corey and his groomsmen started the day with just as much fun as the girls. They all love to hunt and may or may not have killed a snake that was in the bathroom…let’s just say, I’m thankful they were there and took care of that problem. 🙂 The best pup, Otis, really stole the show all day though, and it was no secret that Corey LOVES his dog.

Before the ceremony, Corey and Lexi shared private vows and had a first touch. This was the SWEETEST because Corey surprised Lexi with her wedding gift – a new PUPPY! He handed her a collar and her reaction was priceless. She gets to pick it out soon and we can’t wait to see what she chooses. No doubt they will be the greatest dog parents out there and Otis will be a fabulous brother.

All of their guests arrived and the ceremony began. Corey was overcome with emotion as Lexi walked down the aisle to “You are My Sunshine”. Her grandfather told their love story, they exchanged vows, and Otis helped with the unity ceremony. They sealed it with a kiss and we were onto portraits and the reception. We had the dreamiest light for their portraits!

Hands down, this is one of our favorite reception entrances because they threw out t-shirts to their guests. They danced under the beautiful chandeliers in the barn, were toasted by their closest friends, and then enjoyed spending time with their guests on and off the dance floor. Then night ended with a sparkler exit. This joyous wedding at the Wheeler House is one we will never forget!
